Off I-90 at MT Highway 2. Missouri Headwaters State Park, where the confluence of the Jefferson, Gallatin and Madison Rivers join to form the Missouri River, features interpretive signage, hiking trails, and scenic views of one of the expedition’s campsites. The Headwaters Heritage Museum in neighboring Three Forks exhibits Native American artifacts and local history. Just down the road near Logan, visit Madison Buffalo Jump State Park, where American Indians stampeded herds of bison off the limestone cliff for food, clothing, shelter, and provisions.
