On US 12. This beautiful mountain valley was the site of the Lewis and Clark Long Camp where they camped for two weeks in 1806. Today, it’s a great base camp for float trips, hiking, fishing, or enjoying a picnic beside the historic Clearwater River at Riverfront Park. The Kamiah Welcome Center is a great place to visit and has an extensive Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery display.
